More than one million people, including business professionals and buyers, visit G2’s site every month to read reviews of software and services. In the sea of technology solutions out there, navigating to the best solution can be difficult, and G2’s Grid® Reports compare products in a given category based on satisfaction and market presence scores to help businesses search, discover and find the technology they need.

In G2’s category of Enterprise Search Software, we were honored to announce today that Algolia has achieved the top Leader ranking — most notably on the Winter 2020 Grid® Report for Enterprise Search. This top ranking is based on real user feedback to specific search-related questions featured in the G2 review form, and it is Algolia’s eighth consecutive quarter leading the report.

A Buyer’s Guide to the Enterprise Search Software market

G2 defines enterprise search as “the organized retrieval of stored business data within an organization, wherein users can securely enter and find data across enterprise databases.”

This year, G2 expanded this definition to include that “Enterprise search software can also provide search as a service capabilities, allowing businesses to securely expose select data and information sources (including product catalogs, videos, and marketing content) to external sources, such as mobile applications and websites. Through indexing, users are given the ability to search this data to find what they are looking for” to support key aspects of the customer journey including research, discovery, purchase and/or post-purchase activities.

This is where Algolia shines by fulfilling user search needs and powering search and discovery experiences that connect consumers with the content and services they seek via web, mobile or voice. Algolia enables customers to intuitively and quickly find what they want, as well as inspires them to stay longer, engage further and explore deeply—ultimately leading to higher click-through rates and more conversions.

In the Enterprise Search Software category, Algolia Site Search received the highest Satisfaction score among products in Enterprise Search:

  • 97% of users rated it 4 or 5 stars
  • 94% of users believe it is headed in the right direction
  • 92% of users said they would be likely to recommend Algolia Site Search

Algolia achieved a Leader ranking on the Grid® Report for Enterprise Search by receiving positive reviews from verified users, compared to other products in the same category. The report compares and contrasts how Algolia performed vs. other vendors across user satisfaction rankings including:

  • likeliness to recommend
  • product direction
  • business value
  • ease of use
  • ease of set-up
  • quality of support.
