The Algolia Channel Solutions Engineer (often known as a Partner Engineer) plays a critical role in enabling Algolia partners to bring joint solutions to market, fueling Algolia’s partner-led growth (PLG). As a Channel Solutions Engineer, you will help onboard, support, and provide extensive enablement to both our Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and System Integrator (SI) partners. This is a multi-faceted role where you will be providing ongoing technical pre-sales support, assisting in partner influenced opportunities, participating in partner events, and educating our internal teams on the latest product capabilities and demonstrating custom integration possibilities. 

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong technical background to not only learn and master Algolia’s suite of offerings, but to also demo and present Algolia feature functionalities to both technical and business audiences. This is a role where you will have a lot of autonomy to work on impactful work while collaborating across Engineering, Product, Alliances, and Revenue teams.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Enabling new ISV and SI partners to enter into the Algolia ecosystem, and providing ongoing technical presales support for the initial stages of strategic leads and opportunities raised by partners.
  • Assisting in the most strategic opportunities that are partner influenced or sourced, to drive revenue closure and continued growth.
  • Enabling the design of new architectures and solutions by SI and ISV that partners bring to the market.
  • Enabling bi-directional communication between partners and our internal teams  based on additional product capabilities, implementation feedback, integration architectures.
  • Contributing to processes, documentation, and tooling to ensure the team can scale efficiently.
  • Participating in company and partner events 

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • 2+ years professional experience as a Software Engineer. 
    • Previous software development experience in one or more of the following areas: Front End: Javascript, React, Vue Back-End: Java, Javascript, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective-C.

  • 2+ years experience in a client-facing or pre-sales role.

  • Great communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills working with multiple stakeholders and have the ability to switch context quickly. 
  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Ability to travel (< 25% of time).
  • Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Prior experience working for a digital agency, systems integrator, or other channel technical consulting role
  • A background in the search industry or e-commerce
  • Prior experience in education or public speaking
  • Knowledge of UX / UI design and an understanding of common tools (Sketch, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Analytics, SEO

The annual total cash compensation range (base salary and commission) for this role reflects US market pay data within this location. The exact compensation offered for this role may vary depending on specific location and job-related knowledge, technical skills, and experience; and is only one part of our Total Rewards philosophy to compensate and recognize employees for their work.

Remote US: On-Target Earnings Pay Range
$150,500$175,000 USD
