The mission of Algolia’s community team is to support our community of developers, help them understand the value of search and our product, and support them along their search journey, from discovery to implementation to getting the most out of Algolia.
We are seeking a skilled technical writer with a knack for storytelling to produce engaging content for developers. You will be deeply familiar with key features of our product and how they fit in various development stacks, and able to convey their value to the Algolia community, and the wider developer community. The majority of your work will consist of ideating, producing, and distributing technical content. As a member of the growth team, you will be working closely with other writers, developer evangelists, growth specialists as well as pretty much everyone else on our closely knit marketing and product teams.
YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:
- An understanding of developer audiences: your first principle is being helpful and adding value
- A minimum of 2 years of technical writing for developers, with samples that show deep understanding of code, problems and solutions for topic(s) at hand
- Developer experience: you may not be actively working as a developer today, but you know how to get your hands dirty with code, and can at the very least code a simple Algolia implementation
- Familiarity with modern stacks, languages and frameworks
- Creativity and passion for sourcing fresh topics: from following a Slack thread to chatting with one of our developers, you are constantly adding ideas to our content roadmap
