Sales Development Representative

Algolia is growing at warp speed, which means the Sales development team needs to scale quickly and efficiently. We're looking for a Sales Development Manager to be part of the founding members of our brand new Austin hub. You will have the unique opportunity to build a brand new team of SDRs, in addition to the ones in Paris, London and Atlanta.
You will be responsible for the inbound-generated pipeline for the Americas and Australia & New Zealand, to keep our top of funnel full, manage our team of Inbound SDRs, and most importantly, challenge the status quo. You will be an active contributor in shaping the global team and process. This is a high impact and high ownership role for people leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are interested in building something big and empowering reps to reach their potential. You will be expected to present and own the results of the US SDR team.


  • Hire, train, and manage a team of Inbound SDR’s that work across all Segments (SMB, Mid Market, and Enterprise)
  • Own the sales development funnel including process improvements and tool development to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
  • Be very comfortable in the ability to use data to back decisions and initiatives
  • Monitor and refine sales lead processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the SDR team - challenge the status quo
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement of everyone's role
  • Work side by side with Sales Ops and Enablement to improve ramp of new SDR’s and also the ongoing training of the SD Org
  • Encourage global team involvement and culture.
  • The Sales Development Org is spread across the world, we must encourage and influence proactive teamwork


  • 4+ Years of successful sales experience, preferably with a SaaS offering
  • 1+ Years in a leadership role managing in a Sales Development Environment
  • Experience in building a Sales Development Organization is a plus
  • Analytical skills - ability to draw conclusions and recommendations based on data.
  • Will to improve workflows and develop new best practices of how the SDRs manage the inbound flow.
  • Successful track record achieving and exceeding individual and team quotas
  • Strong Knowledge of SFDC - Reporting, SFDC workflow management, etc.
  • Will to get your hands dirty - you will need to have a desire to get into the weeds and coach by example
