Can I use my Algolia account with multiple domains, sites, or applications?

With the release of our new pricing on July 1st 2020, we dropped the requirement of having multiple plans per domain or legal entity. You can use your plan across any number of sites, platforms, and legal entities.

Legacy plans

If you started a paid plan with us before July 1st 2020, and after January 15th 2019, a separate license (or plan) is required for each domain and legal entity, except if specified otherwise in the terms of your plan.

This rule applies to websites with the same domain, but different subdomains. For example, a website URL in the format aaa.bbb.com is considered a different domain than both ddd.bbb.com and aaa.bbb.co.uk. Mobile apps associated with a domain do not require a separate license.

If you have an application that supplements a domain, it is not considered as a new domain. For example, an e-commerce website and a related mobile app are considered as a single domain. This also applies for voice and chatbot applications.
