# Delete a configuration

> Deletes a Query Suggestions configuration.

**Required ACL:** `editSettings`

Deleting only removes the configuration and stops updates to the Query Suggestions index.
To delete the Query Suggestions index itself, use the Search API and the `Delete an index` operation.
