After an extensive search, I am excited to introduce Algolia’s new CEO, Bernadette Nixon. Bernadette was most recently the CEO of Alfresco Software and brings a wealth of experience in scaling technology companies — from Alfresco to OpenText and CA Technologies — that will help Algolia reach new levels of growth.
Bernadette’s experience and proven leadership skills will accelerate our mission to enable our customers and companies of all sizes to build and deliver delightful, inspiring user experiences that help grow their business.

We are seeing explosive growth, spanning e-commerce sites like Under Armour, Dunelm, The RealReal and ManoMano, media and streaming companies like Discovery and Dailymotion, and technology companies like Stripe and Slack. With over 9,000 companies using Algolia across 120 countries, our platform will power over one trillion searches in 2020 — touching 1 in 6 web users each day.
While this is a testament to what our customers, partners, and employees have achieved together, we believe that this is just the beginning as every company,large or small, must build, customize and personalize amazing search and discovery experiences for their users, anywhere in the world, on any device.
Algolia has been at the center of my life over the past 8 years, and I believe in the company and our people more than ever. While I won’t retain an operational role, I will be Algolia’s strongest champion and will continue to support Bernadette and the team as a dedicated board member.
