Brimit’s integration pack is created for Sitecore-based digital experiences that use Algolia and is intended to make the most of Algolia’s fast and accurate search engine for Sitecore users.

It enables building Algolia’s index based on content from Sitecore and ensures regular updates of the index based on changes in Sitecore content.

Our tool represents a code base for further customization depending on the customers’ requirements, such as what content needs to be indexed, the amount of content, external sources of content, schedule, etc.

The principle

One of Algolia’s characteristics is that the search solution can accept any JSON data.

Brimit’s tool takes data from Solr (Sitecore’s default search engine) or right from Sitecore’s content tree, converts them to JSON, and passes them to Algolia for building the index. From now on, we can use this data through Algolia API.

Our tool updates Algolia’s index daily to reflect the changes in content made by Sitecore administrators.

The tool has a programming interface as long as it is intended to be used by software engineers who would set up the integration between Algolia and Sitecore for the necessary content types, as well as with other systems.
